Good for vocabulary related to themes as there are lots of links to sites grouped according to themes. Lots of other interesting material - you can participate in "Treasure Hunts" and win a free English course in Great Britain. - materials for all levels (grammar, vocabulary, listenings, etc) - click on "open directory" to access links to paying but also free sites for learning English. - clear organization - explanations in French, exercises, answers.

Listening: - Excellent free listening activities and exercises for different levels and purposes. Post-listening exercises as well and transcripts are available. - 30 free activities, otherwise a paying service. Exercises, transcripts. - Go to “Radio Programmes” or "Podcasts". choose one (eg. Science in Action) and click on “Highlights” or “Listen again” or “Archive”– these are permanently there, they do not change. You can also try “More audio and video news” – National Public Radio (USA), also has “archives”. - Daily news from CNN with questions to answer about the news, transcripts are available. – News from CBS and CNN with interactive exercises and transcripts. - Very well done and easy to use. - Student news. 10 minutes every day with questions and transcripts. -  Recordings from Voice of America in clear, comprehensible American English, with transcripts. An excellent resource for lower-intermediate students.

Video: - Video extracts with transcripts, however the transcripts are not always accurate. - Listening material related to technology, with transcripts (British). - A wealth of listening material from Scientific American Frontiers with transcripts. -  Video clips from the latest film releases, film reviews, commercials. - Science, health and many other things, games and quizzes too.

Reading: -  Short stories, discussion forum on short stories, writing “tag stories". - 20 short stories. - An online library.

Chat, discussion forums: - The student pages have interactive quizzes.

Finding an e-pal:

Dictionaries and encyclopaedias: - English and American idioms, phrasal verbs as well.

TOEIC and TOEFL practice: - Click on "Begin exam", you can only access the exercises in order. - Sample questions from the new TOEIC, answers given. - Click on "Extrait du test blanc". - Sample questions with explanations and tips. - Some listening exercises, a lot of grammar exercises, explanations on prefixes, suffixes.
