DIPLOMA IN FRENCH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
The Diploma in French as a Foreign Language (DU de FLE) is a French preparation course only for students whose aim is to be accepted on a Master’s courses or the 3rd year of a Bachelor's degree at the University Paris-Sud/Paris-Saclay, but who do not have the required level of French.
Students follow a year's course of intensive French lessons before then integrating the university course they have been accepted for.
The objective of the course is to make sure that students are not only able to adapt easily to the French university system, but are also able to integrate well into French society.
The initial minimum level requirement is level A2 according to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
The final objective level is B2; the minimum level required to follow a course at a French university.
The course is over two semesters, from the beginning of September to the end of June. There are 15-20 hours of lessons per week in small groups.
Classes are from Monday to Saturday and some cultural activites are organised on Saturdays and Sundays. During the university year, students also follow the lectures and tutorials of the Bachelor's or Master's course that they wish to join the following academic year.
All teaching and activities are organised and taught by a team of qualified, specialised FLE teachers.
Cost: € 4,150 + University registration fees.
