The Multimedia Centre

Located in room 240, on the 2nd floor of building 336, the Multimedia Room is open to all students for self-study during the academic year.

Opening times - Semester 1  2026-2027 - 

Open from Monday 28th September to Friday 4th December 2026

(The Multimedia room will be closed in the week of 26th October and on Wednesday 11th November)

From 28th September to 24th October (opening times for NOVEMBER will be published soon)

Monday: 16:00-17:30 (except Monday 19th October - closed)

Tuesday: 13:15-17:30 (except Tuesday 20th October - 13:15-15:15)

Wednesday: 13:15-16:30 (except Wednesday 21st October - 13:15-15:30)

Thursday: 12:30-17:00 (except Thursday 22nd October - 12:30-15:30)

Friday: 13:00-17:00 (except Friday 23rd October - 13:00-15:00)

 

The Multimedia Room is there to help you improve all language skills with specialised language learning software and prepare for exams like TOEIC/TOEFL/LINGUASKILL and IELTS.

You can:

  • read and borrow books in their original version (both simplified and unabridged books are available – for example, Penguin Readers)  
  • consult reference books and the press: Vocable (English) New Scientist, Science Focus...

In addition to self-study, the Multimedia Resource Centre also offers 10-minute *one-on-one sessions to help with specific language needs. Don't hesitate to ask for help! Teachers and tutors from the Language Department are present in the Multimedia Resource Centre to offer help and advice on:

  • Homework
  • CVs and cover letters
  • Oral presentations
  • Pronunciation
  • Job interviews
  • Grammar problems
  • Preparing a year abroad (internships, ERASMUS...)
  • Language certificates like TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS/LINGUASKILL
  • Acquiring more efficient self-study working methods
  • Improving your written expression for essays, tests, exams and reports.
  • Writing a Personal Statement (application for university abroad)
  • A1 Students and Beginners
